Centralized recruitment process for the appointment of ‘Adhyapak Shayak’ in Non-Government Grant-in-aid Colleges as per Resolution No: NGC/1019/CHE768/Kh. dated 23.12.2019 issued by the Department of Education.
Commissionerate of Higher Education, Gandhinagar, Gujarat has issued NOCs for the appointment of 780 posts of Assistant Professors with the nomenclature ‘Adhyapak Sahayak’ in Non-government Grant-in-aid Arts, Commerce, Science, Home Science, Rural Studies, Physical Education, Education and Law colleges through Centralized Recruitment Process. The management authorities of the concerned colleges have given their consent for the Centralized Recruitment Process. Online applications from eligible candidates are invited for the post of ‘Adhyapak Sahayak’
Qualifications:
1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. The educational qualification of the candidate must be as per the UGC regulation, 2018 dated 18/07/2018 along with time to time amendments and as per the resolution of Government.
3. The degrees awarded by any University in India, established by the statutory act of State or Central government and recognized by UGC/NCTE will be valid.
4. The candidate must possess a Master degree in the relevant discipline and subject with at least 55% of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, where the grading system is followed) as per the UGC regulation 2018.
5. The candidate must have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/ CSIR or other equivalent agency or State level Eligibility Test (G-SLET) of Gujarat in the related subject and stream. Candidates who have registered for Ph.D. Degree before 11th July,2009 and completed their Ph.D. can be exempted from NET/SLET. Such candidates are required to furnish the certificate issued by the University Authorities such as Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dean (Academic Affairs), Dean (University Instruction) as mentioned in the University Grant Commission (Minimum Qualifications for appointment of Teachers and other academic staff in Universities and Colleges and measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) 4 th Amendment, Regulation 2016, (Point No-III). Candidates who have registered and completed Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations 2009 or 2016 can be exempted from NET/SLET as per UGC (Minimum Qualifications for appointment of Teachers and other academic staff in Universities and Colleges and measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) regulations 2009 or 2016, Such candidates are required to present the Certificate issued by the competent Authorities of the University showing that they have obtained Ph.D. Degree as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016. The candidate must have fulfilled the following conditions of the UGC Regulation 2009 or 2016.
The degree of Ph.D. in relevant faculty and subject must have been awarded in a regular mode. The Ph.D. thesis must have been evaluated by two external referees. The candidate must have faced an open viva voce for his Ph.D. degree.
During his/her Ph.D. research, minimum two research papers by the candidate should have been published and at least one among them should be in a referred journal.
The candidate must have presented two research papers related to his/her research in conferences or seminars funded by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or some equivalent agency.
A certificate by the competent authority of the university i.e. the Registrar or Dean certifying the fulfilment of the above mentioned conditions is mandatory.
In case the candidate, possesses a Master Degree in the relevant discipline and subject prior to 19th September 1991 along with a Ph.D. degree, minimum 55 % marks cut-off is relaxed to 50% marks for such candidate.
The candidates of the disciplines in which UGC, CSIR and other such organizations does not conduct NET or G-SLET, are exempted from NET/G-SLET.

Academic/ Post Doctoral; experience:-
(A) Two marks for each one year, for experience as a regular or ‘Adhyapak Sahayak’ at graduate level in government or non government grant-in-aid colleges recognized by the university or full time experience as a Adhaypak on contractual basis in government colleges .
(B) For experience as a part time professor, as per the resolution dated 14.11.2001 issued by the department of Education, if a part time professor has been appointed through valid selection procedure in the government or non government grant-in-aid colleges as per the eligibility criteria specified in this advertisement, and has served for minimum of two years, then s/he will get maximum 10 marks as per the experience mentioned below. (1) 0.5 marks per year for lectures less than 6, (2) 1.0 marks per year, for lectures more than 6, The calculation of years of experience of a candidate will be as per the norms of university recognition of a teacher.
(C) For counting the eligibility of experience in other institutions, it will be considered on the basis of experience as mentioned in Para 10 of the UGC Regulations-2018.

Document Verification and Oral Interview.
1. All the candidates have to remain present on time at the place decided for verification of application and oral interview at her/his own expenses without fail.
2. The details filled in by the candidate in online form will be considered as final. At the time of document verification, if any information submitted online is found improper, or if a candidate fails to produce documentary evidences for the details s/he submitted online, her/his candidature will be treated as cancelled.
3. At the time of document verification, a candidate has to produce proper evidences of fees deposited as mentioned in the application and must produce any valid photo Identity proof (Voter card/Passport/Pan card/ADHAR card/ Driving License).
4. At the time of document verification and oral interview, a candidate has to produce originals and a self attested set of all documents and supporting evidences regarding eligibility, educational qualification, caste, experience, merit ranking and about other points. After document verification, if any candidate has any objection, then s/he has to represent his objection/question (grievance) with all evidences to the Grievances Redressal Committee in prescribed Performa in person within the prescribed time limit, and has to get the settlement of the question/objection. Detailed instructions in this regard will be uploaded on website after the document verification. Thereafter, a general merit list will be posted subject wise and category wise. For general category candidates, cut off will be 50 merits out of 100, and for reserve category candidates, cut off merit will be 45 out of 100.
5. A candidate has to provide choice preference for all the posts under a category applicable to her/him for the subject s/he has applied. Thereafter result will be declared and for that a mock round will be conducted. Thereafter, final preference is to be decided by a candidate when final choice is to be selected. After the final choice is given, a final merit list college wise, subject wise, category wise, will be displayed. According to final merit list, candidates will be called on as per merit for oral interview as per the resolution no: NGC/1019/CHE-768/KH dated 23.12.2019 issued by the department of Education, considering the number of vacancies at a particular college as mentioned in the table below.

Filling online application :-
1. Eligible candidates have to apply online, during the dates mentioned in the newspaper advertisement on the website of the office APPLY NOW
2. Candidates are requested to go through the instructions for advertisement displayed on the website thoroughly before filling the application form. Online application form filled in by a candidate will be considered as final, later on no changes/amendments can be made in it or your representation in this regard cannot be accepted.
3. Except online submission, do not send application form by any other means like through post or courier etc.

5. An application form will open after log-in on the website. Fill the application from carefully. A candidate can edit her/his details of form till the online fees are paid, but after payment of fees, a candidate cannot edit/update details in her/his form. It is advised to the candidates not to wait till the last moment for online payment of fees. If a candidate herself/himself makes mistake in the online application form, then such application will not be considered. A candidate has to give his mobile number invariably. Do not change this number till the selection process gets over, so that communication can be made whenever necessary.
